Creative industries figures: publishing goes from strength to strength

 Commenting on figures published today by the Government which show that the UK creative industries contribute £8.8million per hour to the UK economy, Richard Mollet, Chief Executive of The Publishers Association, said: “These figures show the UK publishing industry, and the whole UK creative sector, is going from strength to strength, both here at home and overseas. Through investing in innovative ways of delivering world-beating content online whilst recognising the continuing strong support for physical books, publishers are ensuring written material is available for all consumers however they wish to access and read it.”
