Corbas Consulting Ltd was established in 2001 by Nic Gibson and Emily Gibson and has grown to accommodate a wide range of digital publishing consultancy and training services. About the directors

Emily Gibson, BA (hons), MA, Cert. Pub., Cert. IT (Open) is a director of Corbas Consulting Ltd, with fifteen years’ publishing experience, mostly in editorial, print and digital production. In addition to daily hands-on practice with XML, ePub and PDF QA, she has authored and built extensive specifications and guidelines, encompassing copyediting, XML, and production and editorial processes, for internal staff, freelancers and overseas vendors.

She is primarily focused on analysing and rationalising workflows and concepts (such as XML), and in identifying, describing and disseminating best practice. Emily is also a tutor for the Publishing Training Centre and runs digital publishing workshops and courses for editorial and production staff.

Nic Gibson has over twenty years' experience as a developer, consultant and trainer. He specialises in XML content generally in a document publishing context.

Nic's interests and experience include OPS/EPUB eBook consultancy; XML consultancy; data/content modelling and analysis and schema authoring. Nic is a member of OASIS and sits on the DocBook Publishers Technical Sub-Committee. In addition to his consulting and extensive teaching work, Nic is also an instructor for Learning Tree International and a tutor for the Publishing Training Centre.
