This webinar is focused on the top 5 must-haves in today’s publishing arena to deliver accessible publications.

Increasing accessibility in file formats, platforms, devices and apps means that the book industry can publish their mainstream content direct to all readers with accessibility built in from the very start.

This webinar will highlight the most important areas to focus on in order to achieve this:

  • advocacy and policy
  • content workflows
  • accessibility metadata
  • tools and solutions
  • consumer testing and feedback

For the many people who are unable to read standard print, these simple steps can provide the chance to have access to the same books, at the same price and at the same time as everyone else.

This webinar is brought to you as a partnership between the UK Publishers Association’s Accessibility Action Group and the DAISY Consortium. The webinar is suitable for everyone in the book industry who is involved or interested in producing good quality ebooks and bringing them to their readers.

This webinar is especially relevant for:

  • everyone in the book industry who is involved in producing good quality ebooks and bringing them to their readers
  • reference will be made to UK publishing but the subject matter is universal and applicable to a global audience

The DAISY Consortium is a global consortium of organisations committed to a common Vison and Mission, which pools and coordinates resources to deliver worldwide change.
