Publishers Association appoints Emma House as Deputy Chief Executive

The Publishers Association announced today that Emma House has been promoted as its new Deputy Chief Executive.

Emma House has worked at the Publishers Association as Director of Publisher Relations for more than eight years. During this time she has run the Publishers Association’s Boards across all areas of the publishing industry, liaised with external partners and suppliers and overseen industry related projects and campaigns. In her role she has been instrumental in running pilots for remote ebook lending in public libraries, setting guidelines for educational publishers’ resources and leading on the Publishers Association’s overseas anti-piracy campaigns

Commenting on the appointment, Stephen Lotinga, Chief Executive of the Publishers Association, said:

“Emma is an absolute cornerstone of the Publishers Association and so I’m delighted that she has accepted this new role which is very much deserved and a recognition of her talent and commitment.

“She has first class insight and knowledge of the publishing industry both in the UK and abroad, and I look forward to continuing to work with her to provide the best possible service to publishers.”
