Direct to Consumer Sales Workshop

Organiser: Publishers Association -

Venue: Zoom Meeting , Virtual

Open To: Members

Join us on Wednesday 5th May for our member workshop on direct-to-consumer sales with expert speakers from Hachette UK, Quercus Books, Firsty Group, and The Paperback Shop.

This 60-minute interactive session is designed for publishers who are new to D2C sales or looking to improve their existing programme. As well as an overview of key concepts and their practical business application, attendees will gain insight into successful D2C ventures like Firsty Group’s Glassboxx solution for publishers and the recently launched Feminist Book Box.

After a short introduction to each of our speakers, you will move through breakout sessions on each of the following topics, interfacing directly with our experts in a small group environment:

  • Understanding License Content Protection, encryption, and how to protect your digital content online
  • Preparing your business for investing in ecommerce, including securing funding from local authorities, choosing the right payment gateways, and upskilling your team
  • Mapping the customer journey, complying with privacy legislation, making the most of automation and manual customisation, and using analytics to improve the customer experience
  • Differentiating yourself in a crowded marketplace and leveraging new forms of customer engagement to connect with your target audience and build a community

Register online to attend.

Please note that this event is only open to members of the Publishers Association. If you are not a member and would like to find out more, please contact our Communications Manager Eliza Kavanagh.
