Our service

  • Stand rental
Select your preferred stand size and we will handle all correspondence with the fair organisers and suppliers.
  • Furniture, lighting and carpet
Standard packages typically include enough furniture to adequately equip the stand. However, should you wish to upgrade or hire additional items, we will order these for you so they are ready and waiting prior to your arrival.
  • Decor
Take the hassle out of setting up and let us decorate your stand. You can get on with those last-minute jobs in the office and arrive at the fair to find everything ready for you.
  • Catalogue entry
Whether you are exhibiting for the first time, or would like to update your existing entry, just send your copy to us and we will make sure it is included.
  • Shipping
Through our nominated shipper, we can provide a consolidated service from the shipper’s warehouse to your stand. For an additional fee, we can arrange to collect the shipment from your office or warehouse. Once the fair is over, we will happily organise for your display material to be returned to you.
  • Hotel accommodation
We can negotiate special hotel rates (where possible), advise you on using the fair’s official housing bureau, or appoint a travel agent for you.
  • Onsite support
Rest assured that our job does not end on the opening day of the fair. We will be at your service throughout to look after you and your stand.
  • Other services

17-19 November 2023

In our 2019 Guide for International Publishers on China, produced by Pixie B Ltd for the new Export Toolkit, it states “According to official statistics, children’s books became the largest category in 2016, and in 2018 they accounted for one-quarter of the total book sales market, pushing education (textbooks and supplementary materials) into second place, and social sciences in third. For new works published in 2018, education was the largest category, followed by economics, business management, literature, social science, and children’s, suggesting that the recent reductions in new ISBNs have specifically targeted trade publishers rather than education. The long-tail sales cycle of contemporary classics in fiction and children’s publishing may also contribute to a reduction in new acquisitions and publications.”

The guide went on to say “Children’s books continue to sell extremely well, accounting for 60-70% of imports from major international publishers into China. The market is, however, extremely fragmented, with specialist retailers in imported children’s books selling full ranges of major brands and licensing characters in large numbers.  As such, bestseller lists from single retailers do not accurately reflect sales into the overall market.”

The fair offers a wide range of activities. Some of the notable activities are the Golden Pinwheel Young Illustrators Competition, the Chen Bochui International Children’s Literature Award, the Authors Festival, the Shanghai Visiting International Publishers Programme (SHVIP), other professional seminars and events to promote reading.
