Proposed amends to the Copyright Act of Nigeria
It has been announced that there is a “A Bill for an act to amend the Copyright Act CAP C28 Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 2004 for the purpose of making provisions for safeguard of technological measures used in protecting Copyright Act and for other related matters. Sponsored by: Senator Aloysius Akpan Etuk”. A full reading of the bill is available on the PA website (see below). The PA will be making a representation to the Government of Nigeria welcoming the bill, but expressing concern over proposed Registration of Copyright provisions.
