Sales of consumer ebooks leapt 366% over the past year in the UK, according to the Publishers Association - helping to limit a wider fall in the book market.
That massive increase in consumer ebook sales is derived from a relatively small base, with consumer ebooks now "equivalent to 6% of consumer physical book sales by value," the PA said. Across the entire ebook market, including academic and professional books, sales grew by 54%.
