PA International Division conference 2008
This year’s PA International Division conference will be held at Trinity House again, thanks to excellent feedback from members last year. The all-day event will take place on Monday 15 December 2008.
Opportunities for UK publishers in the Middle East will be the conference theme, and there will also be the usual round-up of technical developments and anti-piracy activity.
Invited speakers from outside the UK will include:
- Mahmoud Fouda from the online bookshop MERIC (Middle East Readers Information Centre)
- Nusrat Ibrahim from the Jashanmals chain of bookshops in the Gulf
- Saad Azzahri Alghamdi, currently president of the Arab Federation for Libraries and Information.
We hope that Patricia Judd from the Association of American Publishers will also be able to join us to talk about US anti-piracy initiatives and the joint AAP/PA anti-piracy campaign.
