International Conference 2007
The PA's annual International networking conference was held on Friday 7 December 2007 in the historic setting of Trinity House, Tower Hill in London.This year's conference looked at some of the challenges that publishers face in an unprecedented era of change in the industry:
- business models for ebooks and digital publishing
- e-books in education for developing countries
- new technologies in the classroom and the implications for publishers
- panel discussion with leading European booksellers on what the retailers want from us
- the global role of publishers and publishing
Our Keynote speaker was Gareth Thomas, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State, DfID and DBERR, on the theme of Trade and Aid.
