Public Affairs
The PA's core role is to influence the business and regulatory environment, and to that end we have a comprehensive, cohesive programme of work across multiple departments of Government, key Governmental and non-Governmental organisations within the UK, the EU and further afield. Part of the public affairs agenda is driven by PA Council and the Trade, Academic and Professional, Educational and International Boards; part is proactive work based on identifying long-term strategic objectives and working towards them with publishers and governments; and part is reactive to developments and proposals which arise in myriad contexts.
Of necessity, an amount of this work is done behind closed doors; however, more information on this work and the issues covered will be provided if appropriate.
