Simon Bell leaves the PA
Publishing News online, 25 July 2008
Simon Bell, International Director of the PA, is leaving after three-and-a-half years to take up a new position as Head of Partnerships for the British Library, on 18 August.
Christoph Chesher, Chair of the PA International Board commented: "Simon has been one of the most commercially minded International Directors the Publisher's Association has had … He has overseen some significant successes in the perennial battle against piracy, not least most recently in India. He has also put in place the outline of a strategy and infrastructure to deal with the new threat posed by eContent piracy over the internet, an issue increasingly of concern to most publishers."
