    Type the text here The value of the book market in Egypt is estimated to be approximately £50m in 2006. It is a market based on educational requirements, where even the trade market tends to focus on self-help and educational success titles. There are around 450 publishers and about the same number of bookshops, though some are no bigger than kiosks.  Book imports represent approximately 14 percent by value at local price levels of the total book market, although much smaller in volume terms. Educational products again dominate, probably making up over 80 percent of all imports.
