Abu Dhabi International Book Fair
Over the past couple of years, the number of UK publishers attending this event have increased, as the fair has become more professional. In 2009, there were 637 exhibitors from 52 countries, a 32% increase in participants and a 14% increase in space booked.
In 2010, the organisers will repeat the ‘Spotlight on Rights’ subsidy scheme; B 2 B events; an enhanced professional programme and the Antiquarian Book Fair, which attracts librarians and collectors from all over the UAE and other Arab countries.
New highlights include:
- The 7th International Publishers Association (IPA) Copyright symposium (28th February – 1st March)
- Focus on Rights Trade and Copyright Protection
- A new dedicated business and rights centre
