Abu Dhabi International Book Fair
Organised by KITAB, the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair is a joint venture between the Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage and the Frankfurt Book Fair.
The Fair’s organisers reported that in 2008, there were 482 exhibitors from 42 countries, an increase of 16 % in terms of exhibitors and 10 % in terms of space. They feel that the new concept, designed to make Abu Dhabi a new marketplace for the publishing industry in the Middle East and North Africa, is proving to be successful.
