UK Young Publishing Entrepreneur award 2008
Applications for the British Council and London Book Fair's second UK Young Publishing Entrepreneur (UKYPE) award will remain open until Monday 10 March 2008.
Accredited as a British Book Industry Award (Nibbie) and co-sponsored by London Book Fair, the award champions young (aged 25-35) entrepreneurs working in the different sectors within the UK publishing industry. It seeks to challenge their perspectives of the book trade by exposing them to foreign, developing publishing markets; and hopes to connect them with the wider network of international creative entrepreneurs that the British Council and its Creative Economy Unit has been building for the past years.
The winner and the two runners-up will travel to Argentina later this year to take part in a tailored tour of their publishing industry.
The deadline for nominations is Monday 10 March, 2008.
