Children's reading partners
The Children's Book Group acknowledge the central role,played by libraries in encouraging young people's reading.
Children's Reading Partners is a scheme developed in partnership with Miranda McKearney of The Reading Agency to develop links between children's publishers and library authorities throughout the UK., and is similar in framework to the Reading Partners scheme for adult trade publishers. The scheme began in mid-2008 and will run until mid-2010 under the current funding model.
The scheme is co-ordinated by Naomi Danquah at the Reading Agency and is open to PA and non-PA member companies. The companies currently involved are
