Children's reading partners

The Children's Book Group have been working with Miranda McKearney of The Reading Agency to devise a scheme similar to the Reading Partners scheme for adult trade publishers, to enable children's publishers to work more closely with library authorities throughout the UK.  The scheme recognises that children's publishers already have good links to children's librarians in individual authorities.

We are looking for eight trail-blazing publishers to subscribe to the scheme for an initial two year period. There will be additional services on offer through the scheme to enable other publishers to work with librarians and children's reading groups. As at 25 September, four companies have already signed up; four more are required.  The scheme will commence in April 2008.
