Amazon notice & takedown procedure
Amazon launches a new notice-and-take-down procedure
We are pleased to report that, following positive discussions between PA representatives and Amazon, a new notice-and-take-down procedure has been introduced to deal with territorial (or other) rights infringements both for main catalogue items and items being resold on Marketplace on amazon.co.uk. The process is as follows:
To notify Amazon of catalogue data errors (including US editions of titles that a publisher believes should not be sold in the UK and have not yet been caught by Amazon’s systematic controls):
Publishers should submit a request to the Amazon Catalogue following the instructions at this link
To notify Amazon of Marketplace listings which the publisher believes are infringing its rights, publishers should follow instructions at this link:
